I’m not completely sure what attracts me to curvy, tree-lined paths, but I truly love them. This is one of my favorite spots in out community park. It is perfect for early morning walks.
Another amazing performance and song - “Wandering Limbs” by Kimbra feat. Sam Lawrence. Love.
Falling in love with…Terrain. Terrain features a garden nursery, home wares, and a cafe (in a greenhouse). Pictured, are a few items that caught my eye and have inspired me to plan a mini road trip out to Glen Mills, PA to see it all for myself. I seriously can’t wait!
I love moccasins, and this House of Harlow 1960 pair does not escape my infatuation. Cute, pretty, love them, want them, now. I also feel very strongly about these gorgeously simple Tom Binns gold hoops.
Kimbra live at the Spotify House in Austin, TX. Looooove it!!! Sang, girl!
It might sound a bit nuts, but I’ve been obsessively on the lookout for inexpensive yet gorgeous pillows for our bedroom, living room, and son’s room. I decided to revisit Spoonflower (a site that allows you to make or purchase unique and custom made fabric), and fell in love with Holli Zollinger’s designs. I do not know her, but apparently she knows me, because I love almost everything she creates. Now, I just need to choose my faves and get to sewing! Please note: Pillows are the only thing I know how to make.
Thanks to my sweet little angel, I’m sick…AGAIN! This time around, I will be self-prescribing the following items: Whiskey Vanilla Hot Toddy, Medicine for Melancholy (to be watched while cozy in bed), and a slice of chocolate pie (love this lavender version from Sunday Suppers). Yup, this combo should take care of it.

I had to reblog this photo of Tracee Ellis Ross. She is definitely a style muse of mine, and she looks so beautiful here.

Spring always feels like the promise of good things to come. One of which is the arrival of the Emerson Fry (formerly EmersonMade) 2012 spring line! I came across this lifestyle (mostly clothing and accessories) line last year, and I immediately fell in love. The husband-and-wife run company offers gorgeous pieces that are both simple and stylish. Above, are a few of my favorite pieces, especially the shoes!!

Oh, this picture…swoon! Yesterday, marked the 15th anniversary of the release of one of my favorite films, Love Jones. Starring Larenz Tate and Nia Long as Darius and Nina, and directed by Theodore Witcher, this film thoroughly satisfied my senses. It was lovely to hear, beautiful to watch, and as for seeing and tasting…the film was so good I could pretty much imagine those too. Love Jones featured art, music, poetry, and true romantic love in the lives of a group young black friends in the late 90s - and for films at the time, it was a definite game changer. Plus, this film has one of my favorite sex scenes of all time. Let me sum it up: Black kisses (yes, there’s a difference), lots of cocoa-colored skin, sweet love-making, and Maxwell. Done.
